AREA Vacations strongly recommends that you protect your travel plans with travel insurance. For maximum protection, travel insurance should be acquired within 14 days of your initial deposit or payment. Travel insurance is one of the best bargains in travel. Especially if you consider the potential for financial ruin caused by medical or evacuation costs incurred while traveling.
Your reservation will generate a quote for the most popular coverage - Travel Guard's "Preferred Package - see flyer for summary of the coverage to be quoted by clicking here. The quote will be based on the travel plans as they exist at the time of making your deposit or first payment. Should you change travel dates, add flights, or incur additional non-refundable costs, the travel insurance will have to be amended to reflect those changes within 14 days of making the changes. Simply notify your travel advisor of the changes made so the policy can be amended.
The flyer attached lists various options under the “Enhancement Suite” – we recommend you consider applicable options. In particular, we recommend that you upgrade to the Medical Bundle and Baggage Bundle. You may purchase the travel insurance directly through a link in the email that you will receive quoting the coverage or you can contact your travel advisor who arrange for the protection on your behalf.
If you would like to review and/or purchase alternate coverage options you can do so at Travel Guard or let us know and we will send additional material. Failure to timely purchase travel insurance will result in your acceptance of full responsibility for any and all losses incurred for your travel plans.
Because these policies and the coverage they provide may be confusing or complicated, no representation made by travel agents/advisors associated with AREA Vacations about what is covered constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance coverage. Specific questions about coverage can be obtained by calling Travel Guard customer service direct at 1-800-826-1300. Or contact your preferred travel insurance provider.
